# HubSpot

> Let Jamie find contacts, companies, and deals in HubSpot, and log meetings and notes there

## Set up for yourself

Needs the Pro, Team, or Enterprise plan. Your own connection works in Ask Jamie, Sidekick, briefings, and your own workflows.

**1. In HubSpot**

Nothing to prepare. You sign in with your own HubSpot login.

**2. In Jamie**

1. Open [**Settings → Agent → Connectors**](https://app.meetjamie.ai/settings/agent#connectors)
2. Find **HubSpot** and click **Connect**
3. In the popup, sign in to HubSpot and approve access

Jamie sees only what your HubSpot account can see. Everything Jamie logs in HubSpot shows as yours.

## Set up for the workspace (admins only)

Needs the Team or Enterprise plan. Only [workspace workflows](https://docs.meetjamie.ai/agent/workflows.md#workspace-workflows) use this connection. Jamie signs in with the access token of a HubSpot private app.

**1. In HubSpot**

1. Sign in as a super admin
2. Go to **Development → Legacy apps**, click **Create legacy app**, and choose **Private**. See [HubSpot's guide to private apps](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/apps/legacy-apps/private-apps/overview)
3. Create the app only for Jamie. Don't reuse an app that other tools share
4. Give the app the scopes below. Scopes are HubSpot's name for permissions
5. Copy the app's access token

> **Scopes to give the app**
>
> * `crm.objects.contacts.read`
> * `crm.objects.contacts.write`
> * `crm.objects.companies.read`
> * `crm.objects.companies.write`
> * `crm.objects.deals.read`
> * `crm.objects.deals.write`
> * `crm.objects.owners.read`
> * `crm.schemas.contacts.read`
> * `crm.schemas.companies.read`
> * `crm.schemas.deals.read`
> * `files.read`
> * `files.ui_hidden.read`
> * `files.write`

**2. In Jamie**

1. Open [**Settings → Agent → Connectors**](https://app.meetjamie.ai/settings/agent#connectors) and select **HubSpot**
2. Under **Workspace connection**, click **Add service account key**
3. Paste the token and click **Save HubSpot key**

Workspace workflows act as the private app, not as the person in the meeting. When Jamie logs a meeting, it sets the HubSpot owner to the person whose meeting it was.

## What Jamie can do

Jamie can:

* Find contacts, companies, and deals, and read their details
* Log a meeting on a deal, contact, or company, with the summary and action items
* Update a deal, such as its stage or close date

Jamie can do more than this list. It can't delete anything in HubSpot.

Try asking: *"Log this meeting on the Acme deal in HubSpot"*

## Disconnect

* **Your own connection.** Open **HubSpot** in [**Settings → Agent → Connectors**](https://app.meetjamie.ai/settings/agent#connectors) and click **Disconnect**.
* **The workspace connection.** Under **Workspace connection**, click **Disconnect**. Workspace workflows that use HubSpot pause. They start again when a workspace admin connects HubSpot again.
