# Personalization

> Teach Jamie the words that matter to you — product names, people, acronyms — so transcripts and summaries get them right every time.

Jamie transcribes most things accurately out of the box, but every team has its own language: product names, customer names, internal acronyms, industry jargon. **Custom vocabulary** tells Jamie how those words are spelled, so they come out right in your transcripts and summaries instead of being replaced by something that merely sounds similar.

## Add custom words

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Personalization">
    Click the gear icon (bottom-left) to open **Settings**, go to **Personalization**, then scroll to **Custom Vocabulary**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick Personal or Team">
    * **Personal** — words only you need. They apply to every meeting you record.
    * **Team** — words the whole workspace shares, such as your product names or key customers. They apply to every meeting in the workspace.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a word or phrase">
    Type the word or phrase exactly as it should be spelled and press <kbd>Enter</kbd>. Repeat for each term. Changes save automatically and apply from your next meeting.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Your workspace admin decides who can edit the **Team** list. If the Team tab is read-only for you, ask your admin about the **Team vocabulary** permission. Your **Personal** list is always yours to edit.
</Note>

## What to add

* **Names** — colleagues, customers, and companies Jamie keeps misspelling.
* **Product and project names** — especially made-up words or unusual capitalization (e.g. *DealCloud*, *Jamie*).
* **Acronyms and abbreviations** — write them the way you want to see them (e.g. *OKR*, *ARR*).
* **Industry terms** — jargon specific to your field.

<Tip>
  Keep the list focused. A handful of words that Jamie actually gets wrong works better than a long list of everyday terms. The number of terms you can add depends on your plan.
</Tip>

## Help Jamie understand your context

At the top of **Personalization** you can also fill in your **Company Name**, **Job Title**, and a short **Company Description**. Jamie uses this context to write summaries that fit your role and business — for example, knowing you're in sales helps it recognize that "the deal" matters more than the small talk.
