# Connect Jamie to Slack

> Search Slack alongside your meeting notes and share meeting follow-ups from Ask Jamie

Jamie is an AI meeting assistant that helps you turn meeting conversations into useful next steps. Connect Slack to search your team's discussions from Ask Jamie, use that context alongside your meeting notes, and share a recap or follow-up in an existing Slack conversation.

A Jamie account is required. See [Jamie's plans and pricing](https://www.meetjamie.ai/pricing).

## Search Slack alongside your meetings

Start in Ask Jamie and ask about a project, question, or earlier Slack discussion. Jamie uses the Slack account you authorize to retrieve context for your request and bring it together with your meeting notes.

For example, replace the project and meeting names with your own:

> Search Slack for Project Cedar's launch decision, then compare it with the decisions in our latest launch meeting. Include links to the Slack messages you used.

## Draft and send a meeting follow-up

Ask Jamie to draft a recap with decisions, owners, and next steps for an existing Slack conversation:

> Draft a follow-up from the Cedar launch meeting for #cedar-launch. Show me the text before sending anything.

Review the draft in Jamie. Check the facts, names, and destination, and ask for any changes. When you're ready to share it, send a separate instruction:

> Send this recap to the existing #cedar-launch channel.

Jamie uses your connected Slack account to post the message in the conversation you choose, where your team can read it and continue the discussion. Only share meeting or Slack content with people who should have access to it.

<Warning>
  Jamie uses AI and can produce inaccurate answers, summaries, or messages. Check important details and review content before sharing it.
</Warning>

## Disconnect Slack

1. Open [**Settings → Agent → Connectors**](https://app.meetjamie.ai/settings/agent#connectors).
2. Select **Slack** to open its details.
3. Click **Disconnect Slack** to remove the connection from Jamie.

Saved Jamie conversations may still contain Slack-derived content. Disconnecting is separate from deleting a chat or your Jamie account. Messages already posted to Slack remain in Slack and are subject to your workspace's controls.
