Workspace permissions let workspace admins decide who can use the features that share or expose meeting content. Each permission has its own setting, so you can keep Ask AI open to everyone, limit transcripts to a few people and turn link sharing off entirely. These settings replace the on and off switches for the same features that used to sit under Workspace features. Workspace permissions are available on the Enterprise plan.

The four modes

What you can control

  • Link sharing: who can share meetings through a public link.
  • Email sharing: who can send meeting summaries by email.
  • Meeting export: who can download their meetings as a CSV file.
  • Transcript access: who can read meeting transcripts in the Transcript tab and meeting details in Jamie, in meeting exports, on shared meeting links and through the MCP tools.
  • Ask AI: who can ask questions across their meetings with Ask AI.
  • Team vocabulary: who can edit the vocabulary list shared by the whole workspace.
  • Tag sharing: who can share their tags with teammates.
  • Template sharing to workspace: who can share a template with the whole workspace.
If Jamie support has hidden transcripts for your workspace, that setting takes precedence. Transcript access shows as No one and cannot be changed until support turns the tab back on. Integrations have the same four modes, one per integration, under Settings → Permissions → Integration access, where integrations are grouped by category and a filter narrows the list. Members without access to an integration no longer see it in Jamie and their existing connections pause until access is restored. Exchange Server access is managed by Jamie support.

Changing a permission

  1. Go to Settings → Permissions in Jamie
  2. Pick a mode from the menu next to the permission
  3. For Specific people, add the teammates who should have access
  4. For No one, type your workspace name to confirm
The change applies right away. Only workspace admins see this page.

What members see

When a member does not have a permission, Jamie hides the matching control, such as the Ask AI button or the export option. A control that stays visible returns a message instead, for example Ask AI is disabled for this workspace. Members without transcript access do not see the Transcript tab or the transcript in meeting details in Jamie, and the MCP tools return an access message instead of the transcript. Shared meeting links leave the transcript out, including links shared before the change. Meeting exports leave the transcript column empty for members without access. Ask AI answers, the public API, CRM syncs and the live transcript stream are not covered by Transcript access. Changing a permission does not remove existing shares.

Audit log

Every change is recorded in the audit log as a workspace.permission_policy.changed event with these fields: Modes appear as everyone, admins_only, selected_users and no_one.
