Jamie is an AI meeting assistant that helps you turn meeting conversations into useful next steps. With the Slack connector, Jamie can:
  • Search your team’s Slack discussions from Ask Jamie
  • Use what it finds together with your meeting notes
  • Share a recap or follow-up in an existing Slack conversation
It works in chats and in your own workflows. You need a Jamie account. See Jamie’s plans and pricing.

Connect Slack in Jamie

Open your connector settings to connect your Slack account.

Set up

For yourself

In Slack In Jamie
  • Open Settings → Agent → Connectors. If you don’t have a Jamie account yet, sign in or create one first
  • Find Slack and click Connect
  • In the popup, sign in to Slack and select the Slack workspace that you want to connect
  • Review the permissions that Jamie asks for, and then approve access
  • Back in Jamie, open Slack and check that it shows Connected and working
  • If Enabled in chats and workflows is off, turn it on
  • Start a new chat in Ask Jamie and try one of the examples below
If the popup doesn’t open, allow popups for app.meetjamie.ai and try again. If Slack is missing from your connectors list, or you can’t connect, contact support@meetjamie.ai. Support can help with availability and setup.

For the workspace

You can’t connect Slack for the workspace, so workspace workflows can’t use it.

Search Slack alongside your meetings

In Ask Jamie, ask about a project, a question, or an earlier Slack discussion. Jamie uses your connected Slack account to find information for your request. Then Jamie combines that information with your meeting notes. Here is an example. Replace the project and meeting names with your own:
Search Slack for Project Cedar’s launch decision, then compare it with the decisions in our latest launch meeting. Include links to the Slack messages you used.

Draft and send a meeting follow-up

In Ask Jamie, ask for a draft recap with decisions, owners, and next steps for an existing Slack conversation:
Draft a follow-up from the Cedar launch meeting for #cedar-launch. Show me the text before sending anything.
Review the draft in Jamie. Check the facts, the names, and the destination. Ask for any changes that you need. When you’re ready to share it, send a separate instruction:
Send this recap to the existing #cedar-launch channel.
Jamie uses your connected Slack account to post the message in the conversation that you choose. Your team can read it there and continue the discussion. Share meeting content and Slack content only with people who should have access to it.
Jamie uses AI and can produce inaccurate answers, summaries, or messages. Check important details. Review the content before you share it.

Disconnect Slack

  1. Open Settings → Agent → Connectors.
  2. Select Slack to open its details.
  3. Click Disconnect Slack to remove the connection from Jamie.
Your saved chats in Jamie may still contain content from Slack. Disconnecting Slack doesn’t delete any chat or your Jamie account. Messages that Jamie already posted to Slack stay in Slack. Your Slack workspace’s controls still apply to them.
