Set up for yourself

Needs the Enterprise plan. Your own connection works in Ask Jamie, Sidekick, briefings, and your own workflows. You don’t sign in to Affinity yourself. Jamie connects with the workspace’s Affinity API key: a code that a workspace admin creates in Affinity.

In Affinity

  1. A workspace admin creates an API key under Settings → Manage Apps. See Affinity’s guide to API keys
  2. The admin copies the key

In Jamie

  1. A workspace admin adds the key under Settings → Integrations → Affinity
  2. Open Settings → Agent → Connectors
  3. Find Affinity and click Connect
If no workspace admin added the key yet, connecting fails. In a chat, Jamie then tells you “Affinity is not connected for your workspace. A workspace admin can connect it under Settings → Integrations.” Everyone in the workspace uses the same key. Because of this, Jamie acts as the Affinity user who owns the key, not as you. Jamie sees only what that user can see. Everything Jamie adds in Affinity shows that user’s name.

Set up for the workspace (admins only)

You can’t connect Affinity for the workspace, so workspace workflows can’t use it.

What Jamie can do

Jamie can:
  • Search people, organizations, and opportunities
  • Add notes, such as a meeting summary on the matching organization
  • Update records when you ask, such as the status of an opportunity
Jamie can do more than this list. Try asking: “Add a note with this meeting’s summary to Acme in Affinity”
