Set up for yourself

Works on all plans. Your own connection works in Ask Jamie, Sidekick, briefings, and your own workflows. Jamie signs in with an API access token: a code that you create in Planhat.

In Planhat

  1. Create an API access token under Settings → Private Apps. See Planhat’s guide to private apps and API access tokens
  2. Copy the token now. Planhat shows the token only once

In Jamie

  1. Open Settings → Agent → Connectors
  2. Find Planhat and click Connect
  3. In Planhat URL, enter the address you see when you are signed in to Planhat, such as app-eu8.planhat.com. This address tells Jamie which Planhat region hosts your data
  4. Paste the token into API key and click Connect
When you click Connect, Jamie checks the token. The check changes nothing in Planhat. Jamie sees only what your private app can see. Everything Jamie logs in Planhat shows as yours. To test or change the token later, open Planhat and click Manage key.

Set up for the workspace (admins only)

Needs the Team or Enterprise plan. Only workspace workflows use this connection. Jamie signs in with the API access token of a Planhat private app that your team creates only for Jamie.

In Planhat

  1. Create a private app for Jamie under Settings → Private Apps. See Planhat’s guide to private apps and API access tokens
  2. Give the app access to the objects that Jamie should use
  3. Copy the app’s API access token

In Jamie

  1. Open Settings → Agent → Connectors and select Planhat
  2. Under Workspace connection, click Add service account key
  3. In Planhat URL, enter the address you see when you are signed in to Planhat, such as app-eu8.planhat.com. This address tells Jamie which Planhat region hosts your data
  4. Paste the token into Planhat API access token and click Save Planhat key
Workspace workflows act as the private app, not as the person in the meeting. They see only what the app can see. Everything they log in Planhat shows the app’s name.

What Jamie can do

Jamie can:
  • Find an account and read its phase, owner, MRR, renewal date, health, and custom fields
  • Read the recent notes, emails, calls, and meetings on an account
  • Log a meeting, call, or note on an account
Jamie can do more than this list. It can’t delete anything in Planhat. Try asking: “Prep me for my call with Acme: health, renewal date, and recent activity in Planhat”

Disconnect

  • Your own connection. Open Planhat in Settings → Agent → Connectors, click Manage key, and then click Disconnect.
  • The workspace connection. Under Workspace connection, click Disconnect. Workspace workflows that use Planhat pause. They start again when a workspace admin connects Planhat again.
