Set up for yourself

Needs the Pro, Team, or Enterprise plan. Your own connection works in Ask Jamie, Sidekick, briefings, and your own workflows.

In Salesforce

Nothing to prepare. You sign in with your own Salesforce login.

In Jamie

  1. Open Settings → Agent → Connectors
  2. Find Salesforce and click Connect
  3. Under Environment, choose Production or Sandbox
  4. Click Connect for yourself
  5. In the popup, sign in to Salesforce and approve access
Jamie sees only what your Salesforce account can see. Everything Jamie logs in Salesforce shows as yours.

Set up for the workspace (admins only)

Needs the Team or Enterprise plan. Only workspace workflows use this connection. Jamie signs in as an integration user: a Salesforce account that your team creates only for Jamie.

In Salesforce

  1. Create an integration user for Jamie. See Salesforce’s guide to integration users
  2. Give the user access to the records that workflows need, such as accounts, contacts, opportunities, and tasks

In Jamie

  1. Open Settings → Agent → Connectors and select Salesforce
  2. Under Workspace connection, click Connect for workspace
  3. Under Environment, choose Production or Sandbox
  4. Click Connect for the workspace
  5. Sign in to Salesforce as the integration user and approve access. Don’t sign in with your own login
Workspace workflows can see and change only what the integration user can see and change. They act as the integration user, not as the person in the meeting. When Jamie logs a meeting, the task description names the person whose meeting it was.

What Jamie can do

Jamie can:
  • Find accounts, contacts, leads, and opportunities by name or email, and read their fields
  • Log a meeting as a completed task on the account or opportunity, and on the contact or lead
  • Update records, such as the stage or next step of an opportunity
Jamie can do more than this list. It can’t delete anything in Salesforce. Try asking: “Log this meeting as a task on the Acme opportunity in Salesforce”

Disconnect

  • Your own connection. Open Salesforce in Settings → Agent → Connectors and click Disconnect.
  • The workspace connection. Under Workspace connection, click Disconnect. Workspace workflows that use Salesforce pause. They start again when a workspace admin connects Salesforce again.
