Set up for yourself

Works on all plans. Your own connection works in Ask Jamie, Sidekick, briefings, and your own workflows.

In Blockbrain

  1. Open the user menu at the top right
  2. Choose API Access and create a personal access token
  3. Copy the token

In Jamie

  1. Open Settings → Agent → Connectors
  2. Find Blockbrain and click Connect
  3. Paste the token into API key and click Connect
When you connect, Jamie tests the token with a check that changes nothing in Blockbrain. Jamie sees only what your Blockbrain account can see. Every insight that Jamie creates shows as yours. To test or change the token later, open Blockbrain and click Manage key.

Set up for the workspace (admins only)

Needs the Team or Enterprise plan. Only workspace workflows use this connection. Jamie signs in with the personal access token of a Blockbrain user that your team creates only for Jamie.

In Blockbrain

  1. Create a user for Jamie
  2. Sign in to Blockbrain as the service account
  3. Open the user menu at the top right, choose API Access, and create a personal access token. Don’t use your own token
  4. Copy the token

In Jamie

  1. Open Settings → Agent → Connectors and select Blockbrain
  2. Under Workspace connection, click Add service account key
  3. Paste the token into Blockbrain personal access token and click Save Blockbrain key
Workspace workflows act as the service account, not as the person whose meeting it is. They see only what the service account can see. Every insight that they create belongs to the service account.

What Jamie can do

Jamie can:
  • Search your insights and read them in full
  • Save a meeting as a new insight, with the summary and next steps
  • List your knowledge bases and read the documents in them
Jamie can do more than this list. It can’t delete anything in Blockbrain. Try asking: “Save the summary of this meeting as a Blockbrain insight”

Disconnect

  • Your own connection. Open Blockbrain in Settings → Agent → Connectors. Click Manage key, and then click Disconnect.
  • The workspace connection. Under Workspace connection, click Disconnect. Workspace workflows that use Blockbrain pause. They start again when a workspace admin connects Blockbrain again.
